For Music

For Fun

For the Community

Montrose has a rich history of municipal bands, dating back nearly 100 years. The Montrose Community Band was organized in 2002. From the initial group of about 12, the band has grown to over 30 members as more and more musicians bring forth their melodies in the valleys and hills.

The Montrose Community Band features a wide range of musicians from High School students to accomplished artists. They work hard, have fun and love to play.

The Montrose Community Band is under the enthusiastic direction of  Mr. Andrew King.

Current Musician of the Quarter:

Donald Ludlow for his hard work, faithfulness in attendance, and support of the band. Donald works very hard in our percussion section and we are grateful to have him there. Thanks, Donald, we appreciate what you bring to the band.

We turn another page in our history as we enter our 6th year of performing for you.  We are thankful for your generous support and attendance.

We would also like to thank the Montrose County School District and Andy Burke for allowing us to rehearse in the Montrose High School band room.
